    Maternal Outcomes of Induced Versus Spontaneous Labor among Admitted Women in Delivery Room at Maternity Teaching Hospital in Erbil City: A Comparative Study

    Background and Objective: Induction of labor refers to the stimulation of contractions before the labor starts spontaneously, with or without ruptured membranes. The present study aimed to compare the maternal outcomes of induced versus spontaneous labor. Methodology: A comparative study was conducted in Maternity Teaching Hospital in Erbil city from February 2020 to February 2021. Using purposive (non-probability) sampling techniques, 240 pregnant women (120 with induced labor and 120 with spontaneous labor) were recruited into the study. Through direct interviews, a proper researcher-designed questionnaire was utilized to collect the required data. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical approaches.
