    A Comprehensive Review on the Phytochemical and Pharmacological Activities of Adiantum capillus-veneris L.

    In the tropical and temperate regions Adiantum (Pteridaceae) genus forms a significant dominant component of many plant communities. These are commonly known as maidenhair ferns. In different parts of the world the species of this genus have been used for their medicinal values. They exhibit antiviral, antitumor, antiulcer, antimicrobial and ant dysenteric activities. The traditional uses of Adiantum species are known to be for respiratory problems such as pneumonia, fever, mucous formation and cough cold.
